Every Monarch Literacy pathway is designed to provide thoughtful, individualized support. The Monarch Literacy Intensive™ is different because it allows multiple areas of literacy and learning to be intentionally brought together within one integrated experience.
I take time to understand your child’s strengths, needs, learning profile, goals, and the barriers that may be affecting their progress.
From there, I create an individualized plan that may draw from multiple areas of the Monarch Literacy approach, including reading, writing, critical thinking, communication, student-athlete development, parent coaching, and educational consultation.
As your child grows, the plan can grow with them.
The goal isn’t simply to help your child complete assignments or improve a single skill. It’s to help them become a stronger, more confident reader, writer, thinker, communicator, problem solver, and independent learner.

Does my child need to be struggling significantly to benefit from the Intensive?
No.
The Intensive isn’t defined by how far behind a student may be. It is designed for students who would benefit from support across multiple areas of literacy and learning.
Some students need help addressing several areas of need. Others are capable students who need greater challenge, stronger thinking and communication skills, increased independence, or support preparing for their next level.
The question isn’t simply, “Is my child struggling?” It’s “Would my child benefit from having multiple areas of support working together?”
How long does the Intensive last?
Every Intensive is different.
The recommended length, frequency, and level of support are determined by your child’s individual needs and goals and discussed with you before beginning.
Can the Intensive include Reading With EASE™, The Monarch Writing Lab™, and Athlete with Untapped IQ™?
Yes.
That’s one of the primary advantages of the Intensive.
Rather than requiring your child to receive support through only one pathway, the Intensive allows me to draw from the areas of Monarch Literacy that will best support their growth and bring them together within one cohesive plan.
Recommendations are individualized based on your child’s strengths, needs, goals, and learning profile.
Will I be involved as a parent?
Absolutely.
Parent partnership is an important part of the Monarch Literacy Intensive™.
You’ll receive guidance, practical strategies, progress updates, and ongoing support so you understand what we’re working toward and how you can encourage your child’s growth between sessions.
Is the Monarch Literacy Intensive™ tutoring?
The Intensive goes beyond traditional tutoring.
While individualized instruction may be part of your child’s plan, the experience is designed around a broader understanding of your child as a learner and the areas of support that will work together to help them grow.
That may include assessment, literacy coaching, critical thinking and communication development, parent consultation, progress monitoring, customized resources, educational recommendations, and collaboration with other professionals when appropriate.
